About ƒourest
Saana Schnabel and Ville MJ Hyvönen, a duo coming from the northern capital of Finland, united by a fascination with the interplay between classical instrumentation and electronic sound design.

What began as an open-ended exploration – merging traditional acoustic instruments with sound design, analog synthesizers and drum machines – has evolved into a distinctive sonic identity. Their sound bridges the warmth of acoustic expression with the precision of electronic production, offering a singular blend of cinematic atmosphere, techno, and minimal ambient.

Their compositions explore the emotional potential of contrast – balancing detail-rich atmospheres with subtle rhythmic structures, which offers listeners a nuanced and compelling auditory journey into the unfamiliar.

fourest's live performance is built around real-time looping and live sampling – making every show unique. The result transports listeners into different spaces both emotionally and architecturally. It adapts seamlessly to a wide range of environments – from art galleries, desolate shopping malls to open-air venues and underground techno clubs.

Our album TRAUM will be available here for pre-purchase on digital, c-cassette and vinyl!
